Other Ways to Donate
£1 Challenge
A simple way that companies can make a huge difference to the Scottish Spina Bifida Association.
Whether you are a gym, hotel or other service provider, the Association is asking you to give your customers the choice to add an extra £1 onto their bill or membership as a donation to charity. The donation is purely voluntary but as more people take part the donations make sizable contributions.
If you would like to help the Association in their £1 Challenge Campaign or perhaps you frequent a gym, shop or restaurant that you think would like to take part, then please contact Fundraising or Telephone 01236 794508.
The Fundraising Team will be delighted to explain how the campaign works in more detail and will be happy to provide further information.
All companies who get involved will be promoted on our Corporate Supporters page and be provided with Charity marketing materials.
Payroll Giving - What a good idea !
Simple, tax-free charitable giving direct from your pay.
Payroll giving (workplace giving) is a valuable, long term source of revenue, providing regular income to help charities budget and plan ahead more effectively. Employees can choose to support any charity of their choice with a regular donation direct from their pay. Its cheaper because its tax free - for example, a donation of £5 per month costs the basic rate tax payer £4.00 (the taxman pays the rest!)
Payroll Giving donations are deducted before tax so each £1.00 you give will only cost you 80p, and if you're a higher rate tax payer it will only cost you 60p.
To take part in Payroll Giving you must first check that your employers currently provide the scheme to their employees. If your employers would like more information they can CLICK HERE.
If your employers do not operate a scheme and you would like to regularly donate to the Association please see our
