Kilimanjaro trek

2009 Dates:

13th - 22nd February 2009
18th - 27th September 2009
Trek the summit of the World's tallest free-standing mountain. Be prepared to immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the jungle, spectacular wildlife, breathtaking glaciers and experience something others will only ever dream of. For those of you with a sense of adventure and the desire to do something challenging for a great cause, a truly magnificent journey awaits...

This breathtaking trek will guide you up the tranquil Machame route where you will trek through deep forest, home to spectacular wildlife, stretching up to moorland and onwards towards glaciers before reaching the Uhuru Peak. Most of your fellow trekkers won't have done this before and while some will travel with friends and family, many will come alone, but all will go home knowing they have secured new friends for life.

This event is run by Skyline Events, specialists in charity challenges small and big, overseas or UK based. Once registered Skyline will be on call to answer any further questions you may have to help you raise the minimum sponsorship, travel enquires or medical/insurance enquiries.

Fitness level:You don't need to be an athlete to conquer Kilimanjaro, however this is a tough and challenging trek mainly due to the high altitude that you will be walking at, so a good level of fitness is required to make the most of this fantastic opportunity. Once registered, you will receive a suggested training plan and Skyline will be on hand to help you with your training tips.
