Online sponsorship still a great way for supporters to generate funds

Despite yesterday's news regarding the CharityGiving website, which has been now been suspended by the Charity Commission, we wanted to reassure all our supporters that the online donations sites which the Scottish Spina Bifida Association is affiliated to (Justgiving.com, workwithus.org, virginmoneygiving and Charity Choice) have not been affected and they assure us, won't be affected.

If you have access to the web, creating an online sponsorship page is still the easiest way to raise money quickly and easily, whilst building up support for your chosen special activity.

Friends and family are able to donate online with a credit or debit card - so no more running around with paper sponsorship forms, or chasing cheques and cash after your event. By using a site like Virgin Money Giving they will also claim gift aid for you, so your chosen charity, where applicable, will receive an extra 25p per £1 donation at no extra cost to you or your sponsors.

By using our Justgiving service you also have the option to give out a special text code and people can donate directly through their mobile phones.

Not just for a sponsored event - You can also set up pages to celebrate a special birthday, anniversary or occasion in your life.
