Throughout Scotland local users meet regularly to support each other and to arrange local activities. If you live in or around Aberdeen, Motherwell, or Dumfries there is a local Branch near you! RESPITE CARE HOLIDAY BREAKS

Respite Care Holiday Breaks: Staffed by the Association Family Support Workers and Volunteer carers, the Association offers action packed activity weeks during the summer months. This facility offers a stimulating environment for our young people and adults and also affords an opportunity for parents to relax in the knowledge that their children and young people are being cared for by caring professionals.

SPORTS

The Association organises Multi Sports events dependent on demand. Staff and Volunteer Carers provide an intensive, tiring but enjoyable range of sports activities for our young people.

FOLIC ACID SUPPLEMENT

In conjunction with the Scottish Home and Health Department, and our sister organisation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, ASBAH, we continue to promote Folic Acid Supplementation as a means of reducing the incidence of Spina Bifida. Folic Acid Supplementation can reduce the overall incidence of Spina Bifida but it is not an absolute cure as is evidenced by the birth of approximately 40 new babies in Scotland per year.
