Volunteers

If you have any spare time and would like to get more involved with the work that the Family Support Team do, perhaps you could consider volunteering with the Association.
There are 2 areas of work that you could get involved with:
1) Direct Service User Contact
- Participation in Family Groups.
For example: Working directly with children, painting/playing games/doing activities/gardening etc.
- Participation in Adult Service Users Group.
For example: Organising activities, Video & DVD nights/ Planning outings/ Gardening / Planning Programmes / Speakers for future meetings etc
- Participating in Children's Activity Days.
For example: Helping children paint pictures/ design objects, Christmas parties etc.
- Participate in specific projects
For example: Healthy Living / Health-check Project (depending on skills and experience)
2) Indirect Service User Work
- Assist Family Support Team to collate and organise information for distribution to Service Users
- Putting together information packs for service users
- Participating in mail shots
- Organising environment for events e.g. Service User Groups / Professional Conferences
- Setting up seating arrangements for participants
- Layout of activity space / room
- Assist setting up of any equipment required
- Clearing away area at end of day
