It's Hard to Believe it has Been 40 Years!

2005 was a very exciting year for the Association, as not only was it our 40th anniversary, but we were also delighted to announce that the famous chef Gordon Ramsay had agreed to be our very first Patron of the Association.

On the 5th September 2005 Gordon helped the SSBA launch a Gordon Ramsay Buy a Brick Appeal to encourage our supporters, particularly those in the corporate sector to raise funds to build a new Family Support Centre and Head Office in Cumbernauld, Scotland. This appeal will continue to run in 2006 and for the latest news please click on the link above.

Gordon will be continuing to support us in 2006 and such a high profile personality can only help to raise awareness of Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus.
