Blazing Success for SSBA

February 17th saw a very different Valentines weekend in Cumbernauld. Many local residents and supporters of the Scottish Spina Bifida Association watched as 27 brave 'soles' Firewalked across 20 feet of burning coals to raise money for the charity.

And, although all of the sponsorship money has not come in yet, we anticipate that the event will have raised just over £2,000 - a successful evening indeed.

The challenge itself was to walk across burning coals at a temperature of 1236 degrees Fahrenheit - not an easy task! Luckily there was a two hour motivational session before the walk which enabled the participants to release all fears and gain the confidence needed for such a 'feet'
